Interim opportunity for an experienced indirects category manager with OJEU knowledge. You will be working for a private sector organisation who are leading the way in a pioneering field of healthcare and research and joining a team who are dedicated to making a difference. The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of compliant and professional procurement activity across the business, delivering value for money and engagement with stakeholders.

Role

*Lead purchasing processes and select the appropriate procedures; including quotations, non OJEU tenders, OJEU tenders or framework agreements
*Prepare tender documentation and co-ordinate and lead the process to evaluate and analyse tender responses; obtain authorisation to award; and award contracts.
*Maintain appropriate databases to manage and review contracts including the renewal of contracts ahead of their expiry date
*Achieve a reduction in costs and an improvement of service delivery.
*Contract Management - working closely with the relevant stakeholders, ensure end to end management of key contracts throughout the procurement lifecycle

Experience

*Budget management experience including expenditure mapping and development of strategies for the reduction of spend and the creation of efficiencies
*Understanding of best practice sourcing and contract management principles, whilst seeking and maintaining best value from supplier relationships.
*Proven ability of using various techniques in order to influence and negotiate with suppliers and contractors
*Essential experience of operating within the Public Contracts Regulations and relevant factors affecting purchasing activities in the public sector
*Experience of the creation of and monitoring of framework agreements.
*Proven experience of identifying opportunities to successfully challenge and drive commercial benefits from the entire contracting process
