Role: Interim Construction Procurement Manager (SC Cleared)

Rate: £500 p.d inside IR35

Location: Berkshire Hybrid 2 days per week on site

Contract length: 12 months

PLEASE NOTE: Existing SC clearance is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement process for construction projects, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and NEC contract forms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies that align with project objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the bid evaluation process, assessing proposals against project requirements and performance criteria.
  • Monitor contract performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met.
  • Provide guidance on procurement best practices and advise project teams on contractual matters.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement within the construction space
  • Public sector and PCR15 experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with NEC contract forms and their application in construction projects is also a must have.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive value through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are a plus.
