Overview

Do you want to be a part of a major programme investing in UK wide infrastructure projects focused on increasing potential and capability that is lead by a global organisation with a huge opportunity for impact?

We are looking for capable and experienced procurement professionals with a focus on governance, systems, and process who can manage multiple implementation activities whilst navigating the world of private commercial enterprise and heavily regulated industry.

You will need strategic knowledge of procurement across complex programmes and projects advising people on best practice when running large scale tenders and delivering post award contract performance across huge infrastructure investment.

The hiring company are at the start of a huge investment cycle - hence growth in team as they prepare to launch £1bn + tenders to contract out 3 -5 year services shortly.

Key Requirement:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Governance and Systems Procurement Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on governance frameworks, procurement processes, and systems implementation across our diverse suppliers and customers. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices, as well as the ability to develop and implement robust governance structures.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advisory services on governance and procurement systems to clients in various sectors.
  • Develop, review, and enhance governance frameworks and procurement policies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in procurement processes.
  • Design and implement procurement systems and tools to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead and manage procurement projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in governance and procurement.
  • Deliver training and workshops to clients on governance and procurement topics.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated service delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPPB) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, governance, or a related advisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and procurement systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
