Role: Global Category Manager - Technology

Locations: Slough

Salary: Up to £70K + corporate package

Role: Full time | Permanent | Hybrid

1st Executive are seeking a Global Category Manager for Technology on behalf of a worldwide retail technology (e-commerce) platform who operate in 165 countries, offices in 46 countries with a revenue of $1.5bn withing in a rapidly growing market worth $1.3tr. Role:

• Focusing on the Sourcing of Technology services, you will be responsible for the delivery of end-to-end sourcing projects across the breadth of the IT/Technology spend category (£200m)
• You will work with Tier 1 vendors including IBM, Oracle, SAP, AWS and Microsoft, also with a large focus on Saas which is the real engine room of the platform.
• You will have large focus around managing projects associated with the Global Data centre based in the US
• You will be responsible for supporting and engaging with IT Stakeholders - the majority of which are U.S based
• You may also be asked to support on non-tech projects from time to time. notably around Professional Services deals up to £500k
• You will be in the office 2 days a week in the office based in Slough
• Some travel may be required with trips to the US

Experience:

• Procurement experience gained in the Technology spend category - encompassing Data Centre, Infrastructure and SaaS sub-categories
• Proven experience of delivering complex end to end IT sourcing projects
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skill-set; demonstrating success in influencing decision making
• Experience working with IBM would be beneficial
• Degree and MCIPS qualified is preferred
