We are currently recruiting for a Global Procurement Manager based in Amsterdam for plant and site contracting services, my client specialize in delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that drive growth across agriculture, food, energy & industrial markets, they are a Global leader in specialty minerals, advanced materials, & cutting-edge technologies that address some of the world's most pressing challenges.

The role is within plant contracting, therefore as a key member of the procurement team, you'll manage critical sourcing projects such as

• Plant Maintenance Services
• Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (ME&I) Services - Piping, welding, electrical installations, calibration, and automation system maintenance.
• Construction & Civil Works - Structural repairs, new plant expansions, foundation work, and equipment installations.
• Industrial Cleaning & Waste Management - Chemical cleaning, high-pressure washing, hazardous waste disposal, and environmental services.
• Utilities & Energy Services - Water treatment, steam supply, compressed air, and industrial gas supply.
• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Services - Fire protection, emergency response services, and safety audits.
• Logistics & Material Handling - On-site transportation, cranes, forklifts, and warehouse

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs & elevate service quality.
• Contract Management: Lead negotiations & framework agreements for global & regional services.
• Supplier Excellence: Develop relationships with top-tier suppliers & evaluate market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• CapEx and MRO Expertise: Spearhead procurement for capital projects & maintenance operations.
• Collaborative Optimization: Work with cross-functional teams to optimize demand across global operations.
• Vendor Performance: Monitor supplier compliance, resolve operational challenges, & enhance service levels.

We are therefore looking for a strong procurement professional with expertise across different indirect services and a strong techncial / engineering background.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office in Amsterdam and 2 days working from home.
