Interim Senior Contracts Engineer required to join a multinational chemicals and sustainable technologies organisation and support a major Capex delivery programme. You will join on an initial 6-month contract paying £400 per day based in London.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with Project Management to plan and execute procurement of design services, major plant items and construction / installation services
• Evaluate different types of contractual arrangements available and recommend the most appropriate for each type of contract
• Create invitation to tender (ITT) documents, request for quotations (RFQ) and organise competitive biddings from various suppliers to obtain best quality, delivery and price for goods and services
• Lead tender and RFQ evaluation and complete award recommendation / bid report for approval
• Provide commercial and contractual support to Project Management
• Manage contract and subcontract administration activities from start-up to close-out
• Maintain accurate records of project contractual and commercial documentation
• Run the procurement process for given projects with minimum supervision

You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of the following:

• Strong procurement focus and experience of brownfield process plant / production unit / refinery operations
• Chemicals, Oil and Gas or Process industries
• Multi-discipline upgrade, revamp and renewal projects
• Engineering construction
• IChemE, MF/1, NEC contract forms
• Reimbursable and target cost pricing methods

Rate: £400 per day

Duration: 6 months +
