We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement and Contracts Officer to join a Commercial Team in the Public Sector.

Location: Leeds (2 days a week, rest WFH)

Salary: £37,000

Knowledge:

• Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
• Experience of working in a commercial, procurement or contract management function procuring a wide range of products, works and services.
• Knowledge and understanding of tendering procedures, procurement and contract management principles.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and experience of EU Directives and Public Contracting Regulations.
• Demonstrable understanding of government and procurement procedures

Experience:

• Experience of effectively contributing to team objectives.
• Experience of successfully identifying appropriate communication channels to deliver information.
• Experience of effectively contributing to organisational vision.
• Experience of working with stakeholders including project managers, suppliers, framework suppliers and public and private organisations.
• Ability to make a positive impression that is helpful and informative.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of managing an e-procurement system. Experience of developing, improving, and applying processes and systems.
• Ability to undertake tender processes, applicable to a range of different requirements and experience of implementation of contract management strategies
