Procurement Lead - Preston - £55K

You will be leading and supporting category management, sourcing and supplier relationship managment (SRM) in respect to recruitment / contingent labour to enable the delivery of permenant and contingent recruitment for the organisation. You will need experience within Purchasing and Procurement for this positon. This is a hybrid role that requires two days per week in the office in Preston.

Key Responsiblites:

  • Procurement Leadership: Guide and support procurement activities in category management, sourcing, and supplier relationship management for Recruitment/Contingent Labour sub-categories. Develop contracting solutions to facilitate permanent and contingent recruitment, covering areas such as recruitment, employer branding, and vetting.

  • Category Strategy: Assist in the creation, execution, and upkeep of a robust category strategy aimed at optimizing the organisation's procurement approach for Contingent Labour/Recruitment from both external markets and existing suppliers.

  • Team Collaboration: Join the Contingent Labour/Recruitment Categories within the People Category team in Indirect Procurement Services. This team operates within UK & International Shared Services, delivering common and transactional services for the group.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

  • Strong contract knowledge with experience in negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation.
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management.
  • Solid experience in contract management.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the recruitment industry, including knowledge of market trends and commercial models.
  • Possession of or willingness to pursue the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma (MCIPS).
