Role: Procurement Operations Manager

Salary/Package: : Up to £65K + £5K Car Allowance + 20% Bonus + 7% Pension + Private Medical Insurance + 25 Days Holiday + Work Benefits Package

Location: Basingstoke - 2-3 days p/w in Office

The Procurement Operations Manager plays a critical part in driving transformation and continuous improvement across Source-to-Pay and the Procurement function. This role is accountable for the quality and delivery of all operational and reporting activities delivered by the outsourced Procurement Operations team, and will lead strategic initiatives to streamline/optimise processes and improve data capabilities.

Responsibilties:

  • Accountable for the quality and delivery of Procurement help desk and business support services including purchase order, goods receipt, Procurement policy/process and Ariba system queries
  • Accountable the execution of supplier onboarding and data management activities in line with defined SLAs
  • Accountable for the maintenance, configuration and continuous improvement of Procurement systems (Inc. Ariba), ensuring system outages/issues are managed effectively with minimal disruption to supplier operations
  • Oversee the performance of outsourced services across Procurement operations, technology and data, managing and escalating issues as required
  • Drive a data-led culture, by delivering actionable insights for the procurement team with the aim of enabling team performance improvement
  • Be the primary point of escalation within the Group Procurement Team for spend, category, performance and master data
  • Accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of all procurement data and reporting activities (including BSC, procurement savings, monthly team KPI pack, spend reporting, etc)
  • Accountable for the maintenance and improvement of data management/reporting processes and dashboards
  • Lead the transformation of Procurement data management, reporting and visualisation/MI capabilities
  • Deliver projects and improvement initiatives as set out in the Procurement operations strategy and digital technology roadmap, as well as continually identifying new activities that will deliver value to the function

Capability, Knowledge, and Experience

Technical Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Procurement processes across Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay (essential)
  • Familiarity with Procurement technologies such as Ariba, SAP, Coupa (essential)
  • Experience managing outsourced held desk services and resources (desirable)
  • Ability to manage and improve Procurement data and reporting capabilities (essential)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional transformation (essential)
  • Experience working within Procurement Operations/Excellence/Transformation (desirable)

General

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate technical concepts into layperson's terms
  • Strong Excel spreadsheets & data analysis skills (essential)
  • Ability to lead projects end-to-end from planning to execution
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage senior stakeholders
  • Experience with data visualise tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree level education
  • Working towards CIPS qualification (desirable)
