One of the world's leading aerospace and defence firms is recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager as part of a broad programme of growth planned over the next 5 years.

Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 plus package

Location: Kent (Rochester) 3-4 days onsite expected flexible hours

This role is focused on the end to end procurement of core direct commodities related to high tech military technology within new product development including mechanical and electrical components and management of the associated materials and supply chain.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of procurement within a related industry such as Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Automotive.
  • Experience of managing complex supply chains
  • Prior experience in leading negotiations and Supplier Relationship Management
  • MCIPS Qualified or Equivalent experience desirable
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle desirable

The Procurement Team:

Reporting into the Procurement Manager, the Buyer/Senior Buyer is responsible for the management of the material and suppliers for a business area and product line. You will work alongside and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal project teams and functions to ensure that the requirements of the business area are satisfied.
