Our client is a niche engineering company and a world leader in their field. This unique organisation requires an experienced FM Procurement and Contract Manager to cover all Facilities Management Categories including Works and Civil Construction.

As FM Procurement Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services related to Facilities Management. Key aspects of the role include strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and vendor management. In addition, you will be involved in a blend of high impact Works and Civil Construction projects orbiting the facilities management function, and as such you will be integral in shaping these projects from a procurement perspective.

This role will provide the opportunity to work alongside experts who will help you to obtain a wide understanding of an engineering business within the Sourcing function, you'll develop new skills and gain strong industry experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive sourcing experience across facilities (FM) categories (both Hard and Soft FM)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, influencing and relationship building skills are essential in this role.
  • Experience of supporting multiple sites across the UK (or a large manufacturing site) relating to sourcing/procurement of facilities suppliers, including dual source, single source, and sole source suppliers.
  • Knowledge of SAP or related MRP/ERP systems and import/export requirements.
  • Experience of working in regulated industries would be very beneficial, such as defence, healthcare, medical, automative, construction or engineering.
  • Practical problem solving and project management skills.
